Job Overview

NEXPOINT INTERNATIONAL is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Civil Engineer to join our Engineering Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, designing, coordinating, and supervising construction and engineering projects to ensure they meet technical specifications, quality standards, safety regulations, and project deadlines.

The ideal candidate has strong technical knowledge, problem-solving abilities, and the ability to collaborate effectively with project managers, contractors, clients, and other engineering professionals

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, design, and oversee construction and civil engineering projects from initial development through completion.
  • Prepare and review engineering drawings, technical specifications, cost estimates, and project documentation.
  • Conduct site inspections, surveys, and assessments to evaluate project conditions and requirements.
  • Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with approved plans, engineering standards, building codes, and safety regulations.
  • Coordinate with architects, contractors, suppliers, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Evaluate project materials, structural components, and construction methods to ensure quality and durability.
  • Identify potential technical issues, assess project risks, and recommend effective engineering solutions.
  • Monitor project progress, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Ensure proper implementation of quality control and quality assurance procedures.
  • Prepare progress reports, inspection reports, and other required technical documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable environmental, health, and safety requirements.
  • Perform other engineering-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Professional license is an advantage or required where applicable to the role.
  • Relevant experience in civil engineering, construction, or project supervision is preferred.
  • Knowledge of construction methods, engineering principles, building codes, and safety standards.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant engineering or design software is an advantage.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and engineering plans.
  • Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet project deadlines.
  • Willingness to conduct site visits and travel to project locations when required.
